FINDING NATURE:
Staying connected to the natural world during COVID-19
老王加速器最新版下载2.2.16
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought into sharp focus stark disparities in access to nature. Longstanding systems of injustice have impacted the design and distribution of green spaces, and call for new policies informed by Black, Indigenous, Latinx and other People of Color. Now is the time to strengthen our efforts to advance racial equity in access to nature, especially as COVID-19 challenges continue.
We know that young leaders are advancing important changes in their communities. To support their efforts, we are pleased to announce a new Youth Outdoor Equity Leadership Fund, which will provide $500 mini-grants, training and resources to young leaders working create equitable access to nature in their communities.
We have committed $25,000 to jumpstart the Youth Outdoor Equity Leadership Fund and our partner Vasque Footwear is contributing an additional $10,000 to help kick it off. Please help us raise $40,000 by July 31 to reach our $75,000 goal in support of diverse young leaders and their important work.
FindingNature.org is a compilation of resources for the children and nature movement. Please follow local, state and federal recommendations to ensure public safety and refer to the CDC and the WHO for COVID-19 related health guidelines.
Now more than ever, we need to practice using imaginative hope to think seriously about how to create a healthier, nature-rich, more equitable civilization in the years to come.
